Orchestral composition for The Rock

After a more orientated composition symphonic metal, I wanted to accomplish a piece purely orchestral. A simple theme in the piano quickly became rich. Strings, winds and copperwares accompanying the piano progressively throughout composition. This piece accomplished under Cubase is a try to reproduce an orchestra virtually. The different books on orchestration (Samuel Adler, Walter Piston, Paul Gilreath) were me of a precious help.

Although this composition is not intended for a particular film clip, I linked it in retrospect to introduction worship of the film The Rock. Difficult to forget the theme of grunts Zimmer and Nick Glennie-Smith. Anyhow, it is the only means to judge the quality of a piece linked to pictures.

Reorganisation of the site + New composition metal

The site knew many modifications as well visual as in its contents. Here are the main:

- A new rubric "Music" makes its appearance in which I offer reviews on different subjects. There are currently 7 reviews of books on music, 2 on DVD of concerts orchestraux, 3 software of musical production but also on PLUGINS VST, pop videos

- A new composition " symphonic metal " mélant orchestra and guitars metal, double pedal of drum kit and synthés sounds to discover in my compositions (rubric "Music").

- The left menu of the site was entirely reorganised. He is from now on unwinding and allows to achieve required information more easily.

- Pages are also dynamic and contain déroulants allowing thumb-indexes to show or to hide information. See rubric "Music" for example.

- The summaries of sections are organised to such contents of a book. The display of a screenshot is dynamic and without opening of popup.

- The site also has babies more such as a clock, the plan of the site

Orchestral composition for Final Fantasy VIII

Having recently acquired Cubase, software allowing musical composition on computer, I introduce you a new orchestral composition for video game Final Fantasy VIII. This piece was specifically conceived for the fabulous kinematics of introduction of game. Besides sticking on the picture, composition is far from being linear since it evolves of an orchestra in a piano by way of an electric guitar, played by myself, supported by one choruses of children. Trailer and composition for the Lord Of The Rings

New sounds banks inspired me for a warlike theme and imposing. This orchestral composition (choruses there staccato, detached violoncellos) accompanies a trailer of the lord du Anneaux that I created especially. He represents the state of mind of Rohirrim and of their king Théoden.
