PC-INFOGAME.COM: 3DS Max - Edict Spline Mode



Smartness

- When l? they create a form there 2D (Shapes / Splines), shoot Start New Shape so that all forms are added in l? object in the course of selection.

- Use Maj to draw a right.

If they support the left click during creation d? a form it is possible to round off the form of the segment.

Right click on a summit to choose type d? formed angle:
  • Corner-kick: in hard angle
  • Smooth: smoothed angle
  • Bézier: tangent of control
  • Bézier / corner-kick: tangent two of control


Right click on a spline to change l? pace:
  • Line: basic line
  • Curve: smoothed line


Modes d? edition d? a spline:
  • Vertex: summit
  • Segment: section between 2 summits
  • Spline: closed section. Starting point is the summit with a form of white square.

Renderable

So that the spline is during visible d? a return.



Thickness

Thickness of the spline.



Area Selection

Selection of all summits in a zone.



Show Vertex Nb

Show identifiants allocated in summits. Check Selected Only to restrain l? display in ongoing selection.



Create Line

A new line allows to create. It is also possible to add forms 2D complete (cf. comments above).



Refine

Add summits to change l? pace of the curve.



Weld

Joint of summits located in the defined ray. Point out: only summits d? the spline same are possible be reached.



Insert

Addition of summits some following others to supplement the spline.



MakeFirst

Specify which is the summit of departure of the spline. He is encircled d? a square.



Ring out

Move summits chosen in a medium point without accomplishing fusion.



Cycle

Choose summits in a successive way to some following others along the spline.



CrossInsert

Allows d? to insert summits in points d? intersection between several splines.



CrossSection

Link up several identical splines by linking the corresponding summits of every spline to form a volume.



Fillet

Allows d? round segments off by adding new summits.



Chamfer

Divide every summit into two new summits which slide of a way compared along the spline. Allows d? round a corner off for example.




Mode Segment



Divide

Divide a segment by inserting so many vertexes as specified.



Detach

Detach a section of l? object as new object or not.




Mode Spline



Transfer

The opposite l? order of summits. L? order of identifiants allocated in every summit is reversed.



Outline

Create a spline news following the outlines of selection (=contours, encircling?). This spline news is independent if l? original is closed or directly linked otherwise.



Boolean

Boolean operation between two splines. It is necessary to choose the spline 1st, choose Boolean then l? operation and then click on the spline 2nde.



Mirror

Positioning in mirror with or without copy.
