Review
In Your Face is one of the titles most known by the group of heavy Finnish metal Children Of Bodom. Carried by charismatic Alexi Laiho to guitar and to song, title as points him out its name, insists very strongly the big sound from introduction. On a quick rhythm of eighth notes doubled by the drum kit, the sound of guitars is very metallic.

This piece is constructed around 5 major axles: rhythmics in eighth note of the introduction also used as a bridge towards solo, of power-chords supporting the synthé, central theme and verse (with two variants). Its words often trash are appreciated or voice and.

It is not willy-nilly about a piece difficult to play as long as the work of rhythm is properly done in weak tempo. Job of verse is more important and tact will have to be searched well. The tuning of the group is generally there Drop C.

Nightwish is one of the major representatives some symphonic metal. It is not certainly Sleeping car Sun which illustrates this style the best but he allows to discover the wealth of the texts of the group as well as their melodic sense.

On tablecloths and a melody in the synthé, the guitar plays some power-chords allowing to support different variations (and modulations) of verse. The very characteristic voice of Tarja accompanies this ode in the time which passes. The singer is present here in a very sober style in the middle of natural landscapes, far from the black look typical of a metal group. It is barely if it would be possible to classify this music in this type.

Anyhow it is thanks to this big diversity that Nightwish avoids coming back into the clichés of the metal, Sleeping car Sun is proof in 1999.

Review
DragonForce they love or they detest, their virtuosity is envied where they doubt their talent. Anyhow, Through the Fire and Flames is the key title of the group of power metal. The piece breaks directly by a tremolo picking of both guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman having a good time playing the handle over or underneath. Continuation is more conventional with song on bottom of power chords alternating between plated chords and of bass stuffed rolled meats in palm mutate on semiquavers in a tempo of 200 to the blackwoman!

From the middle of the piece a long solo of several minutes begins when the guitarists take turns then play at the same time. It is about a true technical passage where link passages in legato, sweep picking, tapping, harmonic... This solo is so much worship that it belongs to game Guitar Hero III by being considered as the most difficult of game.

In the final, DragonForce distinguishes itself to my taste of any group by the strong presence of the synthé, its very marked melodic side and the charisma of Herman Li and its demonstrations. To you to judge!
